Southam
The Heart of England Co-operative Society welcomed customers through the doors of its new-look Southam food store, following a £507,000 refit.
What's New In Store
The Society has introduced a raft of exciting new additions at The Co-operative, in Coventry Street, as part of the month-long renovation project which is a hit with customers old and new.
The Society has changed the layout of the 2,600 sq ft store to maximise the use of the retail space. An enhanced Food To Go section incorporating a selection of hot foods, a Costa Coffee machine, Tango Ice Blast machine, freshly squeezed orange juice machine, increased sandwich offering and a significantly enhanced selection of both fresh and chilled foods are among the new features in the store.
The Society has also introduced the Cook Frozen Foods Products to its range and has extended its choice of wines and beers.
Customers will also notice wider aisles and the new-look food displays to include pizzas which are displayed upright to improve layout and make choice easier for shoppers.
Steve Browne, General Manager of the Society’s Food Division, said: “Many of these new features within our stores have proven hugely popular, including in the most recent addition to our network, which we opened in Coventry just a few weeks ago.
Where possible the Society sources all its supplies locally – from the produce on the shelves through to lighting and refrigeration – to support local businesses and reduce its carbon footprint.
To further reduce its carbon footprint the Society uses energy efficient lighting, heating and refrigeration in all its new developments.
