The Heart of England Co-operative Society is recruiting more colleagues to join its 14-strong network of funeral homes.
In a move that goes against the grain in today’s climate the Society is hiring more than a dozen client-facing members of staff to serve various funeral homes throughout its trading area of Coventry, Warwickshire, south Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.
Vacancies include full-time roles for Community Funeral Directors in Rugby, Kenilworth and Southam, Coventry, and Bedworth and Hinckley.
There are also part-time vacancies for Personal Funeral Advisors in Southam, Rugby, Daventry, Bedworth and Coventry.
The Society is also seeking a full-time Pre-Paid Funeral Plan Consultant who will work with client families across the whole region.
Darryl Smith, General Manager of the Society’s Funeral Division, said: “Here at the Heart of England Co-operative Society we strive to provide each and every one of our client families with the very best service possible.
“These vacancies come at an exciting time for our Society. Just recently we opened a new funeral home within a £620,000 Grade II listed building in Towcester, Northamptonshire, and we also took delivery of three new Mercedes Benz hearses and three new Mercedes Benz limousines, collectively worth £700,000.
“We have recently started work on a £1.5 million new funeral home in Southam, which is set to start welcoming client families from the end of March. This is particularly exciting for us as our Society’s Food Division has served the Southam community since 1868.”
He added: “As well as expanding our network we are also strengthening and developing our existing funeral homes by bringing in these extra colleagues. By reinforcing our existing teams we will be able to ensure each and every client family under our care receives even higher standards of service throughout their experience with us.”
