Co‑op Fortnight 2026: Celebrating the Power of Co‑operation

What is Co-op Fortnight?

Co-op Fortnight is a time to come together to celebrate what it means to do business differently

Taking place from Monday 22nd June to Sunday 5th July 2026, Co-op Fortnight brings co-operatives across the UK to highlight the positive impact that the co-operative model brings.

This year’s theme, “Co-operate, and we can change the world”, captures the essence of what co-op’s stand for.

Collaboration, fairness and community

Co‑op Fortnight is an annual campaign led by Co‑operatives UK, celebrating the contribution co‑operatives make to communities, people and the wider economy.

It’s an opportunity to:

  • Encourage more people to get involved in and support co‑operatives
  • Raise awareness of the co‑operative business model
  • Share inspiring stories from across the movement
  • Highlight the difference co‑ops make to people’s everyday lives

At its heart, co-operation is about people and creating businesses that are owned and run for the betterment of members.

Supporting Communities Through Co‑operation

Over the past year, we’ve been proud to support 187 charitable causes, helping to fund and empower community groups across the Heart of England. We’ve also raised £50,000 in support of Macmillan, helping to provide vital care and support for people living with cancer and their families. Alongside this, our work with Pennies is helping customers and members make a difference through small digital donations, allowing us to support even more community initiatives and extending the impact our co-operative makes.

This impact goes even further thanks to the passion of our colleagues, who regularly organise and take part in fundraising activities for local causes. Whether through community events, volunteering or local campaigns, their commitment helps drive the co-operative movement forward.

Co-op Fortnight 2026

To mark this year’s Co-op Fortnight, we’re sharing this short video from Co-operatives UK, a powerful celebration of what co-operation means in practice.

The video brings to life the impact co-operatives make across communities, showcasing how working together can create meaningful, lasting change.

It’s a reminder that co-operation isn’t just an idea, it’s something that’s happening every day, in communities across the UK.
